Welcome Message

I just wanted to welcome you all to the site. I am pleased to see you all here. I first think i should explain what this site is. Right?

My name is Penni and I live in a small town in Georgia (the southern part to be exact). I work for my hometown newspaper (and since this site isn’t afflicted w/ my employer, I do not feel it is appropriate to name it). After mentioning to my boss and co-workers that I love NASCAR he (my boss) suggested that I could do a weekly/monthly column, if I wanted to. I thought about it for a while, and after getting the approval of some of my friends and gaining some self confidence I decided to go ahead with it.

The column is actually titled something else, but again, I don’t feel it is appropriate to name it. It is a weekly column that appears every Wednesday (usually) in the Sports section. And it is focused on the previous weekend’s race/results/happenings, current NASCAR issues, and preview of the coming weekend’s races. There will be times where there may be more than one column and there may be times were one doesn’t run (or a filler will run.) In those cases, it probably means I’m attending a race or am unable to write the week’s column due to unforeseen circumstances. In that case you all will be forewarned.

In the case of me attending a race, I will be more than welcomed to share my photos and my experiences of my time(s), as long as you want to listen or view.
