“The Pit Report Online” was created by Penni in February 2008. It was a site to display the weekly NASCAR column she wrote for the newspaper she was employed with. Her main intention was to allow her friends and fellow Internet followers to be given the chance to read the weekly column she took pride in writing.
In March 2009, she was let go from her job as a newspaper staff writer and all inspiration for her weekly column vanished temporarily. She had hopes of writing it again to share with all her friends and followers, but could never get the enthusiasm to continue.
During the off-season of 2009, Penni, along with her friend Karah, decided “The Pit Report Online” deserved a purpose, a new look and a new meaning.
It now stands for a place for NASCAR fans and writers of all ages and genders to express their opinion and share the truth that is NASCAR with everyone.
