Today in NASCAR news:
- Wally Rogers remaining as Elliott Sadler’s crew chief. Despite speculation that Rogers would not return as Sadler’s crew chief of the No. 19 Ford (formerly Dodge), it appears that he will remain. Rogers became Sadler’s crew chief during the last half of the 2009 season.
- Richard Petty Motorsports still located in Statesville, N.C.? The merger between RPM and Yates Racing has yet to become official and an announcement is set for later this month to formally announce the merger. The RPM shop, currently located in Statesville, N.C., will be moved to its new location in Concord, N.C. near Roush Fenway Racing, in the coming months.
- Baker Curb Racing names Brad Parrott as No. 27 crew chief. Recently, BCR announced that Greg Biffle would drive the No. 27 Ford in the Nationwide series. They have now announced they have signed Parrott as crew chief. The driver/crew chief combination reunites Biffle and Parrott who finished third in Nationwide standings for 2004.
- Kyle Busch Motorsports names crew chiefs. KBM has announced that Eric Phillips and Dan Stillman will crew chief two of the possible three trucks this season. Phillips will be the crew chief for the truck being driven by Kyle Busch and Brian Ickler, while Stillman will be the crew chief for the truck being driven by Taylor Malsam.
