The 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup champion, Jimmie Johnson, and his wife, Chandra, are expecting their first child, according to the Associated Press.
According to a spokesperson for Johnson, Chandra is due in July.
The couple have been married since December 2004. They were introduced by Johnson’s teammate and car co-owner, Jeff Gordon.
Johnson, who won his fourth consecutive Cup title in November, was also named the Associated Press’ Male Athlete of the Year last month.
